Ephemera from a film noir city

The Athens streetscape is fractal. Each layer of detail - cracks, graffiti, ornaments, signs, forks off into another and other, in infinite variation on a theme. The Athens streetscape is a palimpsest - layers of past glory, rot, fuck-off defiance, working-class cosmopolitanism and diasporic striving. The Athens street slays me every time.

After the show, one of the Stray Bitches passes her boot around the packed audience. People reach over each other to stuff it with money
